The only honest way to know what is happening inside a flue is to look. We send a video camera down the chimney and watch the live feed, checking for soot, cracks and damage that cannot be seen from the firebox or the roof. This is a real inspection, on camera, from top to bottom.
What the camera catches that eyes cannot
From the firebox you can see a few feet. From the roof, a few more. The camera travels the entire flue and shows cracked tiles, open mortar joints, shifted liner sections, hidden creosote pockets and abandoned nests, with footage we can pause on and show you.
When a camera inspection is the right call
Buying or selling a home, after a chimney fire or a big hail season, before installing an insert, or any time a chimney has sat unused for years. This is the core of a Level 2 inspection, the standard most real estate transactions and insurers expect.
You see what we see
The feed is live and the recording is yours. If the flue is healthy we say so and you have proof. If it needs work, you watch the exact defect on screen before we talk price. Nobody should have to take a contractor at their word about a place they cannot see.
